Acting out is a very powerful language learning tool for young children. This “hands on talk” will provide you with several examples of acting out activities that will offer you the chance to explore its benefits in the English classroom. The audience will have the chance to perform a restaurant scene that can be easily adapted and used in any infant and primary education classroom.
BIODATA
Dr Inma Piquer works as tècnica docent at the Departament d’Ensenyament and as university professor at the UB. She has a wide experience as Infant and Primary Education teacher of English in Escola Sant Cristòrfor (Begues) as well as teacher trainer in the programme Impuls per a l’Ensenyament de l’anglès a l’Educació Infantil i Primària offered by the Departament d’Ensenyament in the past years.
She obtained her PhD. with the entitled thesis: English language teaching to very young learners. Since 2002 she has been offering pedagogical talks and courses all over the country as well as publishing some articles in ELT magazines.
